Pay item
A one-off or recurring earning or deduction outside the salary structure.
A pay item adds or deducts something that is not in the salary structure, such as a bonus, an allowance for three months or a levy until stopped. In Vintage People you choose the pay element, who it applies to (one person, a selection, a pay group, a grade, a department or everyone), the start period and for how long. Pay items are paid in full, never prorated, and each shows as its own payslip line.
