Payroll Run

The process of calculating and approving pay for a period.

A payroll run is the end-to-end process of computing every employee's gross pay, deductions and net pay for a pay period, validating it, approving it and generating payslips and bank schedules. A well-run process includes pre-flight validation and a variance check before approval.
