Pay period
The span of dates one payroll run covers, such as a calendar month.
A pay period is the span of dates one payroll run covers, for example 1 to 31 March. In Vintage People each pay calendar has exactly one open period at a time. Approving the run locks the period so its figures cannot change, and rollover closes it and opens the next. A locked period can only be changed through a reopen, which is recorded in the audit log.
