Biometric device

A fingerprint, face or card reader that records clock-ins.

A biometric device records attendance from a fingerprint, face or card. In Vintage People each device gets its own key, shown once, that can only post punches for that device, so no person's sign-in is stored on it. Device user numbers are mapped to employees, and the earliest punch in and latest punch out of a day become the clock-in and clock-out. Punch files can also be imported by hand.
