Withholding tax on contractors
Tax deducted at source from a contractor's pay instead of PAYE.
Withholding tax (WHT) is tax deducted at source from payments to contractors and suppliers, rather than PAYE. In Vintage People a person on the contractor pay type is taxed by WHT on taxable gross, with no PAYE, pension or NHF. The app's default rate is 5%; check it against your contracts and change it in Payroll policy if needed. WHT deducted shows on the payslip and in its own schedule.
