The order deductions are taken in when net pay cannot cover them all.
Deduction priority, also called the deduction waterfall, is the order in which deductions are taken when pay is not enough to cover them all. In Vintage People you order the tiers in Payroll policy: garnishment, arrears, loan, cooperative, union, HMO and other. Net pay never goes below zero, and anything that cannot be recovered this month is carried forward as arrears.
